Your Spiritual Growth and Maturity

Our Heavenly Father does not tell us to do things that we are incapable of doing. He does not tell us to accomplish tasks that are meaningless to our lives. When God tells us to do something, He expects us to get it done. Doing what He tells us to do is for His glory and our overall benefit. He tells us to study His Word so that we can renew our minds to it. This means that we change the way we think so that we can change into the person He created us to be.

Proverbs 23:7 says that as a person thinks in his or her heart, so is he or she. This lets us know beyond a shadow of doubt that we build our lives through the thoughts and beliefs we hold in our hearts and minds. Some of the thoughts and beliefs we have right now do not line up with God’s Word. They do not line up with the victory we have received through Jesus Christ. We can and should change this.

John 10:10 tells us that Jesus Christ came to the earth to give us a more than abundant life. He showed us through his example how to tap into this life and live it every day. This is a life where we walk in the Spirit of Christ and achieve the goals and purpose God assigned to us. When we don’t do this, and we just take things as they come, our lives sink into despair and disappointment. We become discouraged because we’re outside of God’s plan and purpose for our existence, and the enemy uses this as an opportunity to destroy our blessings. Begin today to increase your life by seeking God’s purpose in a greater way.

In Matthew 7:7(NLT), Jesus Christ encourages us, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” We pray our teachings, encouragements, and inspiration from God’s Word will inspire you to continually ask, seek, and knock so that the many doors of God’s blessings are open to you.
