In John 16:13(NLT), Jesus Christ said, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.” God desires to have a close and intimate relationship with us. Sometimes, we think of Him as being very far away, but this isn’t the case at all. God wanted to be so close to us that He gave us the gift of His Spirit. This is the Holy Spirit, and he lives inside us.
The indwelling Holy Spirit helps us to live a successful life as a believer and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Throughout the years, we have grown very dependent on others in leadership positions, so much so that many of us have stop leaning on God and instead lean on the person. This is not what God wants. He wants us to learn about Him and lean on Him for everything. No one should come between us and Him. Trusting in the Lord with our whole hearts is how our relationship with Him deepens and grows.
Jesus Christ instructed us in Matthew 6:31-33(NLT), “31 So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” We must seek God first, and through His Holy Spirit, He will guide and teach us so that our lives are pleasing to Him and fulfilling to us as well. It must be our greatest ambition to learn to walk and live with Holy Spirit power.

The work of the Holy Spirit is to enlighten minds and renew hearts according to the truth of Jesus Christ. There are many believers that have not experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit. He is not a mere influence or power, he is a person. He is our comforter and friend. God’s desire is that we become intimately acquainted with His Holy Spirit, and that we submit ourselves to his perfect leadership, guidance, and power. Learning to live with Holy Spirit power is the most exciting journey in life.

Growing in the Spirit
- Asking God the Tough QuestionsWhen Hearing God Isn’t the Problem—Honesty Is A lot of us say we can’t hear God, or we’re not sure if what we’re hearing is really Him. But the truth is, God is not silent. The issue often isn’t that He stopped speaking—it’s that many of us have gotten used to filtering His voice through fear, distraction, or what we’ve already decided we want the answer to be. So when life gets heavy, and the questions start piling up, we assume heaven is quiet. But it’s not. James 1:5 (NLT) reminds us, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God,…
- Why Bearing Fruit MattersThe Evidence of a Life Truly Being Transformed by Jesus Christ God’s Word is life to us. John 6:63 (NLT) tells us, “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” Our beloved Savior is not merely talking about hearing the Word or being familiar with scripture, yet many believers stop there. Spiritual growth is more than knowing verses. Many of us can quote scripture, know worship language, and know how to sound spiritually mature. But fruit tells the real story. Fruit reveals how deeply we…
- When Comfort Replaces Dependence on GodLearning why ease was never meant to take the place of intimacy with Him A Life That Feels “Carefree,” But Isn’t the Goal To live a carefree life sounds like something most people would put on their wish list. No pressure when you wake up. No financial stress sitting on your chest. No concern about health, provision, or what tomorrow is going to demand from you. To some, that’s the definition of “living the life.” But the truth is, God was never interested in building a relationship with us where we no longer need Him. There is something dangerous about…
